Dr Colin Browne

CLINICAL DIRECTOR

A highly experienced GP, Colin worked in inner city Glasgow and in the Black Country until retiring as a GP in 2009.

Colin has always maintained a keen interest in primary care development throughout his career and has led on many innovative developments over his career . His Black Country practice was a First Wave Fund Holder and he was GP Lead in Tipton during PMS. Colin was NatPaCT Clinical Lead in the West Midlands and SHA Clinical IT lead IMG/Connecting for Health between1996-2006.

Colin was Chair of Rowley Regis and Tipton PCG and Clinical Chair of PEC Sandwell (R&T) PCT from 1998 till 2006, Clinical Director of Sandwell 2010 Health Economy Redesign 2004-2006, Practice Based Commissioning lead in West Bromwich & Wednesbury 2006-2008 and was appointed Clinical Director with About Health Group in 2009.

As Clinical Director for About Health Colin leads on clinical governance for both About Health contracts and GP provider groups as well as providing invaluable input into developing high quality patient-centred primary care services in the community nationwide.
